Accounts Administrator

My client specialise in the supply, installation and maintenance of electrical solutions for various commercial and industrial customers across the country. They now have an exciting opportunity for a full time Accounts Administrator to join them on a permanent basis working Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 4pm, paying £20k. 

Your role will be to support their Accounts team with varied responsibilities including data inputting, processing invoices, dealing with disputes, delivery notes and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. Key duties include:

  • Processing purchase invoice/credit notes
  • Processing delivery notes
  • Chasing disputes including delivery notes and outstanding paperwork 
  • Updating internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
  • Contacting clients and sending reminders to ensure timely payments
  • Supporting with the processing of sub-contractors payments
  • Processing receipts 
  • Processing and validating expense claims
  • Updating labour hours ready for payments
  • Uploading on hire, off hire invoices
  • Assisting with office administration 

To be considered for the role you must have strong administrative skills and a knowledge of account processes. You will also:

  • Ideally have experience of Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll
  • Have strong analytical, numerical and communication skills
  • Have good data entry skills including speed and accuracy
  • Be computer literate with advanced working knowledge of and use of spreadsheets 
  • Ideally have Level 2 in AAT/equivalent
  • Be comfortable working as part of a small close-knit team
