Environmental Health Officer - Food

My local authority client are looking for a qualified and experienced Food Environmental Health Officer to join them on a temporary basis for 4 months initially, working 22 hours per week, Monday - Friday paying £40 for hour. 

You will:

• Carry out investigations, monitoring, site visits and respond to service requests as part of the Food Safety Team
• Carry out detailed inspections, audits and risk assessments of commercial premises
• Investigate and resolve complaints and respond to requests 
• Carry out detailed investigations of individual notifications of communicable diseases and liaise with the relevant bodies
• Review, assess, scrutinise and evaluate planning applications and written reports received from consultants and other professionals on food hygiene and health and safety, and evaluate the impact on public health

You must:

• Be fully qualified 
• Be experienced in food safety and health and safety interventions and enforcement
• Drive and have access to your own vehicle
