National Care Purchasing Administrator

Our client is the UK’s leading provider of Community Equipment Services, that deliver complete end-to-end services through all stages of equipment provision and recycling.

A vacancy has arisen for a National Care Purchasing Administrator to help in their mission to improve people’s quality of life and independence every day. The services allow people to remain in their homes, this helps prevent extended hospital stays, allowing the NHS to deliver frontline care where it is needed most.

12 month maternity cover contract

What we look for in a National Care Purchasing Administrator

  • 2 years experience in a team environment
  • Naturally numerate
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and be prepared to be flexible as deadlines and priorities sometimes change.
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Must have a good command of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels is essential
  • Knowledge of SAP beneficial but not essential.
Key accountabilities:

·Monitor existing stock levels and raise Purchase Orders (PO’s) to meet stock availability targets and agreed stockholding levels

·Negotiate with vendors to establish and maintain cost effective purchases.

·Resolve day to day issues relating to stock availability and product quality/ specification.

·Expedite outstanding  purchase orders

·Invoice queries resolved promptly and cleared for payment

·Review re-order points to maintain correct stock levels

·Produce weekly reports identifying stock availability issues and action taken to resolve.

·Ensure best prices on spare parts

·Take a proactive approach to ensure best practice is maintained and built upon on a day to day basis.

Maintain database to ensure accurate data is always available to other company users.

37.5 hrs a week Monday to Friday
