Non Conformance Co-ordinator

I am currently recruiting for a full time temp to permanent Non Conformance Co-ordinator. Perhaps you are looking to move to the next level or have previous supervisory experience This is a role for a well-established global provider of transportation and logistics services based in the outskirts of Ilkeston.

The job role is to ensure a quality service is delivered to all our customers. Effective completion of all no conformance tasks issued to the required standard in a safe, accurate and timely manner. To support and manage the non-conformance administrator

Area of expertise: Key relationships –contract administration, other operations

Financial – Understanding of the financial impact on not following conformance processes

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Ensure compliance in current legislation, company policies and procedures, together with the Contract’s standard operating procedures.
  • Report accurately and in a timely manner on all non-conformance issues to a high quality of service.
  • Direct Communication with the customer on all NC related issues, customer shortage/overage claims,
  • Delivery & transport issues.
  • To be conversant with the site H&S policy maintaining a high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern.
  • Ensure that all duties within the defined area are performed to the highest accuracy and standard.
  • Report any hazards, incidents or near misses as per company reporting procedures.
  • Encourage and identify ideas for continuous improvement, i.e. health and safety, housekeeping and productivity.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in all aspects of work to ensure quality of service, investigate
  • Understand and adhere to the company policies at all times.
  • You will take responsibility to ensure that all non-conformance administrative duties are carried out to a high level of accuracy, professionalism and support and manage the non-conformance administrator.
  • To present data and attend monthly Joint Management Review meetings, travel is required at times to visit customer’s premises.

  • A thorough understanding of non-conformance.
  • Previous experience of managing a team.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as leading a team.
  • Flexible with work hours, days and able to work overtime as required.
  • Good standard of IT skills (JDA/ Oracle) including excel & word.
  • Customer service and warehouse operations experience.
  • Report writing and presentational skills.
  • One to one and appraisal process desired.
  • Handling performance and disciplinary situations.
  • POD management/control
  • Pre-shipment checks where appropriate

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: West Hallam

Shift: Any 5 of 7. Non Peak days 8 – 5. During peak flexibility required.

Hours / Week: 40 hours

Pay rate  -£8.98
