17th/18th Electrician

JT Recruit are recruiting for a 17th/18th Electrician to join one of UK's bespoke leading home builder on a full-time temp to perm opportunity basis.

For the right candidate, they are offering a permanent position. The candidate will preferably come with some Electrician experience as they will To work as a member of a team on the manufacturing lines to achieve departmental objectives. To assist in continuously improving performance in the areas of output, cost, quality and service whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

Training will be given onsite, however a prior grasp of the work required would be preferable.

Day to day tasks include but not exhaustive of:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring
  • Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards, including in fire alarms and security systems
  • Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, heating systems, and alarms
  • Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements
  • Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions
  • Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations, including installing heating and cooling systems
  • Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
  • Possess working knowledge of Siemens Building Management Systems and Phillips lighting systems
  • Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391)


Earlys: 6am – 2pm Mon – Thurs / 6am – 1pm Friday

Lates: 2pm – 10pm Mon – Thurs / 1pm – 8pm Friday

Essential requirement: Valid driver’s license and Qualification in Electrics (17th or 18th Edition) essential

Overtime rates:

Weekday 1.3x hourly rate

Saturday 1.5x hourly rate

Sunday 2x hourly rate

Pay £13 - £16 per
