Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Prestigious Engineering Company based in the LE2 area of Leicester, are looking for an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join them.

The position is to maintain, fault find and repair a wide range of specialist electrical and mechanical machinery.  Especially CNC Machines, lathes, welding and hardening machines.

The Position is to :- 

•  To provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery
• Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks
• Electrical repairs to motors, control panels, wiring, relays, contactors, switches and bulbs
• Manager and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum.
• As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery
• PLC fault finding
• Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the faults
• Electrical repairs may involve working with up to 415 volts AC or DC current.
• Planned preventative maintenance.
• Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines
• Candidate will be expected to work across all company sites in Leicestershire

 Essential Experience:

•  HNC or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering 17^th Edition
• Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines
• Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
• Ability to read and comprehend hydraulic, pneumatic and machine schematic diagrams
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, manuals, correspondence and memos
• Conversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques
