Maintenance Engineer (Mandarin Speaking)

My client is a leading cross-border e-commerce solution provider and was established in Shanghai, China in 2012.

They have set up more than 10 global warehouses including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia. Currently, we have more than 10,000 employees worldwide.

Their goal is to provide overall supply chain solutions to eliminating the geographical barriers of cross-border e-commerce, reduce the distance of international supply chains, improve customer experience and sellers’ market competitiveness, and truly achieve online transactions without borders.

They are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Maintenance Engineer in a Challenging role to join their team and help us continue to deliver excellence at its new UK branch at Tamworth.

40 hours per week, days initially, however once a PM shift has been set up, the role may involve covering this also

Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide breakdown support to production areas of the business.
  • Carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on automated production lines
  • Carry out fault finding activities on all production equipment and facilities incorporating electrical, robotics, HMI, PLC, stacker crane.
  • Regularly review Automation equipment performance and frequent failures; carry out preventive maintenance and system upgrading follow-up plan for equipment and facilities.
  • Continuous improvements process to production equipment and machines. Through analysing the nature and type of historical faults in operation, the improvement strategy of equipment and facilities in DC is formulated.
  • Adhere to the operation guidelines, management regulations and Safety specifications of Automation equipment maintenance team.
  • Monitor web based real time robot application and fix the breakdown issues of robot immediately
  • Operate and use the equipment correctly (some of the equipment can be entrusted to the manufacturer or outsourcing service provider), Carry out the basic cleaning, inspection and even lubrication of the equipment, find and report the abnormalities.

What you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in industrial automation .
  • Time served/ apprentice trained in Electrical, Automation, Robotic or Mechanical Engineering – C&G, BTEC, NVQ level, HNC, NHD,BACHELOR
  • Knowledge of automated process machinery such as Conveyor system, autonomous mobile robot, cross belt sorter or stacker crane .
  •  Be able to interpret electrical circuit drawings
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C++,Java , Python or PLC (beneficial )
  • Have good communication ability, be able to make the equipment professional understand the work focus through communication.
  • Strong leadership can guide the equipment maintenance team members to implement equipment maintenance standards, in-depth analysis of the root cause of equipment failure, to ensure efficiency.
  • Planning capability, capable of systematic equipment rating and equipment maintenance plan formulation.
  • Knowledge of electric control principle.
  • Effective spare parts management and cost control
  • On the Job training will be provided to areas where needed
