Multiskilled Operative

My client based in the LE4 area of Leicester and are looking for a Multi-skilled Operative to join them on a full time but temporary rolling contract basis working Monday - Friday paying between £10.31 and £11.39 per hour. 

The role is varied but you will work to maintain highways, footpaths and structure:

• Kerb laying, footway and carriageway construction, excavations, drainage, block paving, slabbing, brickwork to manholes, routine gully emptying, attending to drainage problems, laying bitumen, spreading, levelling and laying of materials to lines and levels, and supporting on construction and surfacing activities
• Driving and operating specialist plant equipment to perform all highways operations, and using equipment such as saws, compaction equipment etc to meet contractual requirements
• Carrying out daily routine maintenance to appropriate vehicle and plant, complying with relevant legislation

Some experience in tarmac hand laying with a good eye for levels is required.

You will also be fully qualified and/or have previous demonstrable experience in a similar position. 

You will have experience of working in a highways or civil engineering environment, and extensive knowledge of construction specifications, materials, compaction and workmanship requirements.
