Security Response Officer

Our local authority client is seeking a security response officer to join their team on a temporary basis, initially until October

Job Role:

1. To assist in the delivery of the Council’s security function by carrying out security patrols in vehicles and on foot.
2. Prepare written reports or logs as and when required in respect to any incidents or actions when performing duties.
3. To routinely lock / unlock Council and client’s buildings, complete security patrols around key council buildings and schools.
4. Respond to incident and alarm activations ensuring that buildings and their contents are safe and secure.
5. Assist with responding to highway incidents.

In order to apply you must possess the following:

• Hold an appropriate Security Industry Authority licence
• Knowledge of the security industry including the issues and techniques related to the security of people and property.
• Experience in conducting security patrols
• Experience in responding to alarm incidents, and operating alarm systems.
• To hold a clean driving licence
• To be physically fit and able to climb stairs in multi-storey buildings whilst carrying work equipment
• Able to work a rotating pattern of shifts covering 24/7
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good verbal communication skills to be able to liaise with customers and a range of other agencies including the Emergency Services.
• A good knowledge and awareness of health and safety practices
