Stock Control Manager

JT Recruit are currently looking for a Stock Control Manger on behalf of our client in Mansfield. This role is working Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. This role is due to continued growth and they are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running.


  • Develop and maintain effective and robust inventory processes and procedures to ensure high levels of stock / inventory integrity and accuracy across the company.
  • Key point of contact in relation to both fluid and static inventory accuracy
  • Responsible for system data accuracy
  • Drive a reduction in inventory errors and eliminate stock discrepancies with the introduction of improved processes and stock cycle counting.
  • Support operational investigations and problem resolution in relation to stock integrity.
  • Produce and analyse stock reports and provide recommendations as to stock location and movements.
  • Manage and implement outside storage and drawback of stock.
  • Experience in managing, developing, and inspiring a warehouse team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide appropriate feedback/training and support to team members.
  • Work with Purchasing and Sales colleagues to define and implement an end-to -end quality control process across the business for products arriving to site.
  • Responsible for the Returns department within Operations
  • Responsible for the authorisation of investigation signoffs
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, ensuring that all staff are complying to the relevant H&S protocol and Safe systems of work.
  • Oversee the weekend stock counts when required.
  • Work autonomously and manage own workload.

Key skills and qualities:

  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A sound understanding of warehousing and inventory.
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience of inventory IT systems with the ability and aptitude to interrogate and analyse data.
  • Experience in managing, developing, and inspiring a warehouse team.
  • Proven people management skills e.g., dealing with performance issues, grievances, team building and managing change.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Passionate about providing a high-quality service to both internal and external customers.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills
  • Data manipulation (analytical approach)
