Trainee Assistant Project Engineer

Excellent family-owned Electrical Switchgear Company are looking for a Trainee Assistant Project Engineer to join them.

This position is pivotal within the Company and would suit someone with an interest in Engineering, some basic AutoCAD knowledge and willing to train.

Responsibilities include: -

• Modify and produce drawings for their range of switchboards, using AutoCAD software.
• Produce electrical wiring diagrams.
• Send drawings to customers as and when required.
• Assist with our online Operation and Maintenance manual information system for customers (e.g., placing drawings in the information system).
• Reports to the Project Engineer and work with the drawing office team.

Experience knowledge required: -

• Have a basic understanding of AutoCAD and be willing to learn Electrical wiring diagram package.
• Computer literate.
• Be able to work as part of a small team.
• Be able to work independently.
• Have good communication skills.
• Have good administrative skills.
• Willing to work overtime both during the week and Saturday mornings if required.

For the correct person they are willing to complete CAD training and offer an initial 6-month contract with a view to going permanent.

Depending on experience and skills a salary of £22 - £25,000

Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 17:30pm, finishing at 3pm on Fridays
