Location: High Peak SK23
Salary: Grade 5 – £16 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday 08.00-15.00hrs

Becky at JT Recruit is looking for a dedicated temporary Catering Supervisor to lead the kitchen in one of the local authority-run residential homes – helping to create a warm, welcoming environment where nutritious meals support the wellbeing of every person.

As the Catering Supervisor, you’ll manage a small kitchen team, prepare and cook meals from pre-planned menus, and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always met. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key part in daily life at the home, where your care and creativity in the kitchen truly make a difference.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing and cooking tasty, nutritious meals to meet planned menus and dietary needs
• Leading and supervising kitchen staff to deliver a smooth, safe service
• Supporting stock control, ordering and kitchen admin duties
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
• Interacting with residents and contributing to a positive mealtime experience

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working in a catering setting (paid or voluntary)
• Confidence supervising others and working as part of a team
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Intermediate desirable)
• NVQ Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or willingness to complete it
