Job Title: Nightshift Class 1 Driver (Temp to Perm)
Location: Derby
Pay Rate: £19 per hour
Shift: Nightshift (Starting at 18:00, with some variation)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (3 months temp with PAYE, leading to a full-time contract)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for night shifts with a respected transport company in Derby. This position offers the security of a guaranteed transition from a 3-month temporary contract to a permanent role. Initially, you will be employed by JT Recruit, with a permanent contract offered upon successful completion of the temporary period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle safely and efficiently during night shifts.
- Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high service standards.
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adapt to varying start times, primarily beginning at 18:00, with potential changes based on operational needs.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 HGV license and relevant qualifications.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
- Experience with night driving and long-haul routes.
- PAYE only applicants will be considered.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations.
