Job Title: Temporary Class 1 Driver

Location: Office based in Derby; assignment in Wirksworth

Contract Type: Temporary (2 weeks but might be ongoing)

Start Date: 23rd September

Hourly Rate: £15.00 per hour (overtime at £22.50 per hour)

Additional Benefits:

• £25.00 per night for nights out when needed
• 2 x 15-minute paid breaks
• 1 x 30-minute unpaid break

About the Role: We have an urgent temporary position for a Class 1 Driver starting from the 23rd of September. This role will involve driving a 12-speed manual/split-speed truck. Our client is based in Wirksworth, with the assignment coordinated through our Derby office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class 1 vehicle with 12-speed manual/split-speed transmission.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods as per route requirements.
• Complete necessary driving assessments and paperwork.
• Adhere to company policies and road safety regulations.
• Accommodate overnight stays as required paid at £25 per night

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driving license.
• Ability to drive a 12-speed manual/split-speed truck.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Ability to complete a 30-minute to 1-hour driving assessment.
• Flexible with hours and available to work additional overtime as needed.

Working Hours:

• Typical 40-hour workweek at £15.00 per hour.
• Additional 16 hours at £22.50 per hour (overtime).
• Most drivers complete 56 hours where legally permitted.
