Becky at JT Recruit would like to hear from you. She is looking for a Cook to cover temporary shifts for Residential Homes within High Peaks SK23, Derbyshire DE55 and Chesterfield S44 areas. These homes are managed by a Local County Council.
You will have the responsibility for all aspects of work in the busy kitchen.
Main duties will be:
Prepare and cook lunch for the residents
Prepare a variety sandwiches for tea time
Washing up and cleaning of dining room
Cleaning and keeping the kitchen clean
Temperature checks
Recording and taking orders
Putting stock away on delivery days, stock rotation
You will need to demonstrate an all-round catering experience and have good communication skills. Working to support specialist dietary requirements, it is essential that you possess an awareness of portion and cost control as well as giving priority to presentation and being customer focused.
To apply you will be ideally qualified to City & Guilds 706/1 level/NVQ Level II or have relevant experience, with a sound knowledge of Health and Safety and possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Generally, Monday – Friday, but there are some weekend shifts to cover. Hours are 08.00-14.30hrs.
An Enhanced DBS will be required for these posts.
