Design Engineer

JT Recruit is seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join our esteemed client’s team in Derby DE1. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a company that specializes in creating and marketing innovative, cost-effective platforms, systems, and products for communications and national security applications.

This is a permanent role that offers a competitive and negotiable pay rate, which will be determined based on the successful candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications.

Skills required 

• 10+ Years of Experience: You should have over ten years of experience in the field of design engineering.
• Proficient in NX Software: You need to be highly skilled in using NX software for designing.
• Gas Turbine Knowledge: It’s important to have knowledge of gas turbines or other high-speed rotating machinery.
• Component Design: You will be responsible for actually designing components that are manufactured.
• Assembly Design Experience:  You should have experience in designing parts that are part of a larger assembly, especially for one-off use.
• Instrumentation Experience (Desirable): It’s a plus if you have experience with incorporating instrumentation such as pressure tappings, thermocouples, and strain gauges.
• Highly Motivated with Excellent Communication Skills: You need to be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills.
• Independent Work: You should be able to work under minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
