Our client, a local authority based in Arnold Nottingham (NG5), is after an early help assistant to join the team. You must have a DBS for this role.

Job Purpose:

To support the work of the service in securing best outcomes for children, young people, and their families. This will include supporting assessments of need and undertaking direct work with children, young people, and their families in line with the relevant plan.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Early Help Case Managers in the assessment of needs.
  2. Arrange and attend multi-agency meetings, with responsibility for associated administrative tasks.
  3. Support Early Help Case Managers to implement plans for children and families where appropriate. This will involve the initiation and coordination of a range of outcomes.
  4. Undertake direct work with children and families as part of their plan.
  5. Liaise with schools, health services, voluntary agencies to gather information and implement support for children and families.
  6. Review and assess the impact of plans for children and families.
  7. Maintain accurate and up to date written records – minute taking, chase attendance records.
  8. Provide information, advice and support to service users and their carers
  9. To work with children, young people and families in different settings including the family home, and to transport them when required with due regard to health and safety guidance.

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. To assist and work with Early Help Case Managers to ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable children/young people.
  2. Provide direct support to children and families, to enable plans to be progressed in a timelier manner.
  3. Work in partnership with colleagues from a range of different agencies to enable good communication and ensure children and young people are safeguarded.
  4. To actively contribute to the professional development of yourself and others.

 

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. £12.80 per hour
