Job Description: JT Recruit is looking for a reliable General Warehouse Operative with 3.5 ton driving skills to join our team in Matlock. This role offers the chance to transition to a permanent position following a successful 12-week temporary period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a 3.5 ton vehicle for deliveries and collections (approx. 0-3 times per week).
• Assisting with loading and unloading the vehicle.
• Maintaining accurate delivery records.
• Supporting general warehouse duties including stock management and organization.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Support the Department Team Leader / Supervisor by checking and updating information on incoming / outgoing goods from storage and production.
• Manage warehouse tasks using Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Meet daily targets, including a scrap reduction target.
• Liaise with other departments to achieve production targets.
• Manage stock levels on the in-house system and support with regular stock take.
• Work to 5S standards.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.
• FLT driving to cover holiday / absence / break times (approx. 5.6 weeks per year).

Requirements:

• Valid license to drive a 3.5 ton vehicle (1 year driving experience required).
• Experience in a warehouse setting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing heavy barrows and loading/unloading deliveries.

• Competitive hourly rate: £12.54 per hour (3.5 ton driving), £12.21 per hour (General Operative Duties).
