Job Description: JT Recruit is seeking a dedicated General Warehouse Operative with FLT (Forklift Truck) skills to join our team in Matlock. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to secure a permanent position after a successful 12-week temporary period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating forklift trucks to move and organize stock within the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and organized.
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Support the Department Team Leader / Supervisor by checking and updating information on incoming / outgoing goods from storage and production.
• Manage warehouse tasks using Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Meet daily targets, including a scrap reduction target.
• Liaise with other departments to achieve production targets.
• Manage stock levels on the in-house system and support with regular stock take.
• Work to 5S standards.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.
• FLT driving to cover holiday / absence / break times (approx. 5.6 weeks per year).

Requirements:

• Valid FLT license. (Can do a refresher for someone with previous experience but out of date license for the right candidate)
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing heavy barrows and loading/unloading deliveries.

Benefits:

• General Warehouse Operative £12.21 rate with occasional FLT Driving hourly rate of £13.48.
