Job Advert: HGV Class 1 (Temp to Perm)
We are seeking a confident and experienced HGV Class 1 to join a well-established transport company based in the Derbyshire area. This temp-to-perm position is available through JT Recruit for the first 3 months, with the potential for a permanent role thereafter.
Job Details:
- Hourly Rate: £17 per hour
- Shift Duration: Typically 10 hours, but can extend to 12 hours during busy periods
- Start Time: 07:00 AM
- Working Days: Monday to Friday, day shifts only
- Location: Derbyshire countryside DE6 1PW
- Type of Work: Agricultural/farm deliveries
The Role: As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to and from rural and agricultural locations. Confidence navigating narrow country roads is essential, as you will regularly drive through the countryside. The typical shift lasts around 10 hours, with the potential for 12-hour shifts during busy times. This is a great opportunity for a driver who enjoys working independently and handling rural routes.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) license
- Experience driving HGVs, especially on country roads
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts with flexibility for longer days during peak periods
- Reliable, self-motivated, and confident working in rural areas
