Job Title: HGV Driver – General Haulage Class 1

Location: SK17 Area

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday with nights out

Salary:

• PAYE: £15.50 per hour
• LTD: £19.00 per hour

Requirements:

• Must be able to do nights out
• Minimum 2 years of HGV driving experience

Description: We are seeking experienced Class 1 HGV drivers for general haulage work in the SK17 area. The role involves Monday to Friday shifts with nights out. Competitive pay rates are offered, with PAYE drivers earning £15.50 per hour and LTD drivers earning £19.00 per hour. Applicants must have at least 2 years of HGV driving experience and be comfortable with nights out.

Responsibilities:

• Transporting Goods: Safely transport a variety of goods, including palletised items, machinery, and construction materials, across various distances.
• Vehicle Operation: Operate commercial vehicles up to and over 7.5 tonnes, including rigid trucks, articulated lorries, tankers, transporters, and trailer wagons
• Route Planning: Plan delivery schedules and routes with transport managers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Loading and Unloading: Supervise or assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring they are securely fastened.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and road safety standards while operating the vehicle.
• Maintenance: Perform basic routine maintenance checks, such as oil, tyre, and brake inspections
• Documentation: Complete delivery paperwork and maintain up-to-date logbooks
