These are some of the values Becky’s client is looking for. Due to an internal promotion, the position of a HR Advisor is required to join the dynamic team for a public sector owned company who supply HR services within schools and academies, public sector and the NHS.

Based in Hereford, this role will require some travelling to local school sites (mileage paid)

This is a permanent post who can offer full or part time hours, with some homeworking available (hours to be discussed)

Salary: £30,461 – £38,407 full time equivalent salary based on 37hrs per week, dependent upon experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert HR advice across a wide range of matters including casework, pre-employment checks, and training.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer care and solution-focused advice.
  • Lead HR policy development for schools, ensuring policies are up-to-date with legislative changes and best practices.
  • Support schools in managing complex casework, including discipline, performance, and absence management.
  • Provide guidance on the TUPE process during school conversions to Academy status.
  • Collaborate with trade union representatives on casework and change management programs.
  • Act as the liaison officer for school-based staff, fostering effective communication and support.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A strong background in HR, with experience in advising on complex HR issues.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Own transport is essential for daily business use
