Becky at JT Recruit is waiting for Patient Access Administrator application, she is working in partnership with one of the biggest acute Trusts in the UK, who has a very clear mission to provide excellent care every time.
A temporary Patient Access Administrator is urgently required for a minimum 3–6-month contract to start ASAP, to join the Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Department at Royal Sussex County Hospital. This is a vital role, offering you the chance to contribute to the efficient delivery of patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
There is a lot of telephone work in this role and composing emails, so your great communication skills would be perfect for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Registration & Appointment Scheduling: Accurately process patient details, register on Radiology Information System (CRIS) and Patient Administration System (Oasis), and schedule appointments for various imaging procedures (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.).
- Customer Service & Communication: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and external agencies. Handle inquiries both in person and over the phone, ensuring clarity and empathy in your responses.
- Reception & Support: Welcome patients at reception, handle incoming referrals, and assist with any concerns or queries.
- Team Support & Development: Assist with staff training and orientation, support service improvements, and work closely with the Patient Access Manager to enhance departmental practices.
- Confidentiality & Data Protection: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload efficiently.
- Excellent Communication: Clear and empathetic communication, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients and staff.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Attention to Detail: Accurately process patient data, ensuring accuracy in all records and systems.
