Job Profile:
JT Recruit is proud to work with a Local Authority in Derby City to find skilled plasterers to join their Repairs and Improvement Team. In this role, you will help maintain and improve social housing properties and other buildings across the Derby City area.

This position offers steady hours, Monday to Friday, and gives you the chance to make a real difference in the lives of local residents. You’ll work in a supportive environment, using your plastering skills to ensure properties meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Carry out various plastering tasks in domestic social housing, including 2-coat plastering, plasterboarding, skimming, and general repairs.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting customer expectations and health and safety requirements.
Use basic wall tiling skills where required to complete projects.
Travel across the Derby City region to work on different homes and buildings.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and residents to ensure a smooth and professional service.

Key Requirements:

A relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification in plastering.
At least 3 years’ work references to confirm your experience.
A clean, valid UK driving licence, as you’ll be required to travel between locations.
Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and work environments.
Compliance with the clean-shaven policy unless exempt for religious, medical, or personal reasons (documentation required).

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30 (37 hours per week).
