Becky at JT Recruit would like to hear from you, she is partnering with a local authority in Derby seeking an experienced Plasterer to join their Repairs & Improvements Team. This team looks after the maintenance of social housing homes and associated properties across the Derby City area.
💷 Pay: £17.01 per hour
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (early finish on Fridays)
📍 Location: Derby – Local Authority properties
📅 Start: Immediate
🚗 Driving Licence: Full UK licence required
We’re looking for time-served or a qualified plasterer to carry out a high standard of general plastering work. Most jobs will involve 2-coat work, plaster boarding, and skimming on domestic properties.
🔧 Role Overview
- Internal & external plastering
- Kitchen and bathroom tiling
- Repairing or laying flooring in wet areas
- Supporting other trades
- Keeping van stock and basic job records up to date
- Resolving issues on-site with minimal supervision
- Driving to various properties across Derby (van provided)
👷 What You’ll Need
- Qualified or time-served plastering experience
- A clean, full UK driving licence
- Good customer service and a reliable work ethic
- Flexibility to travel around the city
- Basic IT confidence (tablets or handheld job systems)
- Ability to support apprentices and work well in a team
