Our client is currently looking for Screen Print Floor Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Location – Loughborough

Salary £30-35K plus performance bonus

40 Hour Working week (4 x 10 hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Leadership:
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of screen print operators, technicians, and other production staff.
  • Foster a safe, collaborative, and productive work environment.
  • Production Management:
  • Oversee the screen printing process from start to finish, ensuring orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor production output and quality, identifying and addressing any issues in a timely manner.
  • Review and approve job setups, ensuring that screens, inks, and other materials meet job specifications.
  • Quality Control:
  • Maintain high standards of print quality throughout the production process.
  • Inspect and ensure print results meet customer requirements and company quality guidelines.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of production.
  • Equipment & Maintenance:
  • Ensure all screen printing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, performing basic maintenance or coordinating with maintenance staff for more complex repairs.
  • Ensure tools and materials are organized and readily available for efficient workflow.
  • Inventory & Materials Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies such as inks, screens, substrates, and other materials, and reorder as necessary.
  • Ensure the appropriate use of materials to minimize waste.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Reporting & Communication:
  • Maintain daily and weekly production reports, documenting any delays, issues, or improvements.
  • Communicate with the Production Manager to align production schedules and resolve potential bottlenecks.

Experience/Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in screen printing, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of screen printing processes, equipment, and materials.

Experience with various screen printing techniques (e.g., manual, automatic presses, multi-color printing).

No formal education is required, however good communication skills both written and oral are essential.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in manufacturing settings.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced manufacturing floor.

Occasional exposure to chemicals, ink, and heat in the screen printing environment.

Required to wear safety equipment (e.g., gloves, goggles) when necessary.
