Job Description: JT Recruit is seeking a skilled Standard Band Knife / Saw Operator to join our team in Matlock. This role offers the opportunity to transition to a permanent position following a successful 12-week temporary period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating standard band knife and saw equipment to cut foam and fibre materials.
- Ensuring precision and accuracy in cutting processes.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Supporting the Department Team Leader / Supervisor by checking and updating information on incoming / outgoing goods from storage and production.
- Managing warehouse tasks using Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Meeting daily targets, including a scrap reduction target.
- Liaising with other departments to achieve production targets.
- Managing stock levels on the in-house system and supporting with regular stock take.
- Working to 5S standards.
- Contributing towards continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing basic training to others on CNC machines if experienced.
Requirements:
- Experience operating standard band knife and saw equipment.
- Experience with other CNC machines is a plus.
- Ability to provide basic training to others on CNC machines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate: £13.07 per hour (Standard Band Knife / Saw work), £13.48 per hour (with experience on other CNC machines and ability to provide basic training).
