Yard Operative
My client is a family-run business based in Melton Mowbray
They are now recruiting for yard operative; the ideal person will have experience within the builders’ merchants/timber-merchant sector in a yard or warehouse environment.
An FLT license would be an advantage.
As a Yard operative your role will involve manual handling as well as using equipment to load and unload customers, interacting with customers and making sure they are satisfied, and ensuring the yard is kept presented to a high standard.
There is always a variety of jobs and plenty to do so it is important that the candidate can use initiative and is able to manage their time efficiently.
This is a full time position.
Working Hours are:
- Week 1 – Monday to Friday
- Week 2 – Monday to Friday & Saturday Morning
Pay rate: £12.60 per hour.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting customers
- Providing excellent customer service
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Picking and checking orders
- Storing stock safely
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
- Manual handling tasks
- Stock taking
- Tele Truck licence an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Hard working
- Positive attitude
- Good attention to detail (Reading, Writing & Counting is essential!)
- Prepared to work outside in all weathers
Full time position up to 50 hours per week
