Becky at JT Recruit would like to hear from you about the Grounds Maintenance Operative roles available for a local authority in Brentwood.
These are temporary posts for approx. 4 months, hours of work are Monday – Thursday 07.30-15.30, early finish of 15.00 on Fridays.
You will be required to work as part of the Street Scene Team within an area specified by the Deputy Operations Manager.
Based at sites throughout the Borough, you will assist in the maintenance and cleansing of a wide range of public places and open spaces.
Your main duties will include:
• Grass cutting and strimming, Hedge cutting, shrub bed maintenance, and general grounds maintenance duties in and around the Brentwood area.
• Shrub pruning, plant care and hedge cutting
• Weed maintenance
• Using a range of powered and non-powered horticulture equipment
• Liaising with the general public
• Autumn clearing
• Spring preparation
• Mowing
• Heavy lifting will be required
There may be a requirement to assist with minor burial preparations as part of the cemeteries team.
To be considered for this temporary work in Brentwood, you will need a valid UK driving licence.
If you have experience of basic gardening and can use handheld petrol operated equipment (strimmer’s and blowers) then apply.
