Becky at JT Recruit would like to hear from you, she is looking to appoint an experienced school cleaners in the Nottingham region for an ongoing requirement.

Hours: Monday – Friday hours can be early mornings or late afternoons

Pay £12.71 per hour

Job Purpose:
To maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the school premises, ensuring a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

General Cleaning:

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas.

Dust and wipe surfaces, including desks, chairs, shelves, and equipment.

Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.

Clean and sanitise bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.).

Wipe down and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as door handles and light switches.

Health and Safety:

Follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures to minimise risks to students and staff.

Use cleaning products and chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and school safety policies.

Report any maintenance issues, broken equipment, or potential hazards to the Site Manager.

Additional Duties:

Assist with setup and cleaning for school events or activities.

Keep cleaning equipment, storage areas, and materials in good working order.

Adhere to the school’s health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

Prior experience in cleaning, preferably in a school or similar environment.

Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe chemical use.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physical ability to lift, move, and operate cleaning equipment.

Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
